Art department: Dance, Drama and Art.

Type of multimedia	Example	How it meets the school’s objectives	How it meets the needs of the intended audience
Sound	An example of this is putting student’s music over the top of an image of student’s art work.	Promotion – It is promoting how well students are doing within the Performing arts department. It also shows how creative our students are.	The sound files will be informative as it demonstrates the progress of the students. It shows what students can do within the school using the equipment that we have. It also entertains as music is involved.
Animation	This can be anything that’s moving for example strobe lights flashing in the drama department.	Advertising – It advertises our school in a fun and entertaining way.	By using animation it will create entertainment for the audience and also it means they won’t have to read about the school which saves time.
Still images	These may just be pictures of rehearsals, students creating a piece of art or an actual performance.	Promotion – This shows the progress and creativity of students and shows how they can work with others.	By using still images it gives a chance for the audience to have a proper look at the picture. This will inform the audience because it shows many different areas of the department.
Moving images	These can include video clips of student’s performances.	Advertising – It advertises our school in a fun and entertaining way. It shows the concentration and learning of students. It will show that students are enjoying be at school and that they can fun whilst learning.	By using moving images it will create entertainment for the audience and the audience will be able to view more than they would looking at a still images and also it means they won’t have to read about the school which saves time.

Graphics

Graphics can be used on many different types of work. For example this could be a back button on the tour of the school which takes you back to the hallway from a class room.

Advertise – It helps advertise the school because it gives students/parents a chance to see what the school looks like inside without having to visit.

Parents may not always have time to tour different schools for their child this gives them a chance to have a look quickly. This means it is very convenient for them.
